Peru’s Airforce Reopens UFO Investigation Department

UFO in Field

According to Colonel Julio Vucetich, the Peruvian Airforce is reopening it’s Department of Investigation of Anomalous Aerial Phenomenon ( DIFAA ) to investigate sightings of UFOs.

DIFAA was originally opened in 2001, but was shut down approximate 5 years ago due to administrative problems. However, a recent surge in UFO sightings has prompted Peru to reopen the department.

The UFO investigation program will bring together experts from various fields, such as sociologists, astronomers, archaeologists, and other experts together with Air Force personnel to research the phenomenon.

Noted UFO hot spots in Peru in particular have been identified in the cities of Marabamba and Huanuco.

Similar UFO investigation agencies exist in other countries in the region, such as in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile.
